Accounts Receivable Accounting Technician.

Triangle Transit is recruiting for an Accounts Receivable Accounting Technician. This position provides support for the accounting functions of the organization. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Develops and implements standard billing procedures. Calculates and prepares customer invoices. Ensures that all payments/ lockbox deposits are recorded promptly into the accounting system. Responds to customer inquiries and maintains contact information. Follows up with customers to ensure timely payment of invoices. Assists with year- end audit preparation and auditor requests related to accounts receivable. Generates customer statements and various management reports. Provides reporting to internal and external customers. Processes Credit and Debit Memos. Provides Systems Accountant with suggestions for upgrades and improvements to current A/R module. Works with Customer Service and Bus Operations departments to troubleshoot deposit and billing issues. Prepares related month-end reconciliations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualified individual will have an Associates’ degree from an accredited community college with three years experience in an accounting function, preferably in a public sector position. Ideal candidate will demonstrate strength in financial analysis and problem solving and have an ability to work independently, in a fast paced environment. Starting salary range $28,870+ DOE and a competitive benefits package is included.

Marketing Coordinator.

Triangle Transit is recruiting for a Marketing Coordinator. This position is responsible for coordinating marketing activities for either GoTriangle transportation demand management (TDM) programs or Triangle Transit services. The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the planning and implementation of the overall marketing strategy, managing product brands, developing partnerships necessary to meet the marketing goals, and supervising support staff and interns on a project basis. Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Develops the annual marketing plan for assigned projects, employing social marketing and traditional marketing techniques.

• Develops and implements promotional campaigns to increase ridership and participation in employer programs.

• Serves as the Brand manager for either Triangle Transit or GoTriangle ensuring that use of logos, communications, and organizational actions are consistent with brand messages.

• Plans and implements special events and programs consistent with the annual marketing plan.

• Develops partnerships across the region with employers and community institutions in the promotion of public transportation and rideshare services.

• Supervises staff on a project basis, as required.

• Coordinates the development, design, and printing of marketing materials, including schedule and informational brochures, newsletters and flyers.

• Oversees the implementation of paid media campaigns to promote assigned services.

• Coordinates the purchase, distribution, and inventory of promotional items.

• Maintains the inventory and distribution plan for printed materials.

• Solicits sponsors for public transportation, rideshare, and special event services.

• Coordinates with staff across the organization and with partner organizations on development and use of messages and graphics for marketing activities.

• Coordinates with the Customer Service Manager in the development of materials for customer information and in the promotion of fare media sales.

• Maintains effective working relationships with staff persons and elected officials of local or regional governments and the appropriate State and Federal officials.

• Evaluates and reports on the effectiveness of all marketing activities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualified individual must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college with two to three years of related marketing experience. Marketing experience related to a racially and ethnically diverse population is highly desirable. Must be able to develop and implement program objectives and work independently on several program objectives simultaneously. Ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to work and relate with diverse groups. Starting salary range $44,803+(DOE ) and competitive benefits package is included.
